About Ourselves

I (DH) am aged 38 and have been taking photographs for about 20 years. Photography quickly became a passion and I now enjoy a number of forms: landscapes, natural history and abstract close-ups being my specialist areas. I am an ex President of High Wycombe & District Camera Club and was President of Aston University Photographic Society.

In late 2002 I set up a risk management consultancy company with two colleagues. Sotera Risk Solutions Limited specialises in providing risk management advice to the railway, process and oil and gas industries.

We are both successful in competetive photography although this is not our focus of interest. We sporadically enter British and International photographic exhibitions. Last year I won a selectors award at the Northern Counties International Exhibition, and gained commendations and acceptances in several other exhibitions. Jan gained a commendation in the Smethwick Colour International and several acceptances in other exhibitions. We have both won competitions in UK photography magazines.

The Galleries

Each of the galleries contains around 4 to 6 images, with each image a file size of between 20KB and 60KB.

We welcome feedback or queries on individual images or on the site as a whole. This is especially true at the moment as this is a new site and the first I've developed! It has been developed in IE4 at 800x600, 24-bit colour depth. Let me know if it doesn't display well with your browser/monitor setting and I'll try to rectify it.
